Members Win Asian Academy Creative Arts Awards

The winners have been announced for the 2022 Asian Academy Creative Arts Awards, with DEGANZ members recognised.

The Asian Academy Creative Arts Awards is Asia-Pacific’s most prestigious awards for creative excellence. The best of the best from 16 nations representing the region’s content industry gather each December, in Singapore, when the Lion City hosts the annual awards.

Season 2 of Mystic won a Best Children’s Programme (One off/Series) Award. David Stubbs (DEGANZ) is the series producer, while fellow members Aidee Walker and Caroline Bell-Booth directed on the series. Meanwhile, DEGANZ members Kerri Roggio and Peter Roberts served as two of the four editors on the series.

Aidee Walker also won a Best Direction (Fiction) Award for her work on TVNZ’s Kid Sister. The series was also a national winner for Best Comedy Programme.

Episode 4, titled Albularyo, of anthology series Beyond the Veil won a Best Single Drama/Telemovie/Anthology Episode Award. Mia Maramara both wrote and directed, while editor Brendon Chan cut the episode.
