Misty Flicks Film Festival 2026 Line-Up Announced

The 2026 finalists for the Misty Flicks Film Festival have been announced, including films from four DEGANZ members!

This year, the Misty Flicks Film Festival received more than double the number of entries it did in 2025. With submissions from filmmakers across the motu, this year brought incredible diversity, creativity, and a range of filmmaking styles.

Misty Flicks is a film festival for independent filmmakers and audiences. Based in the Waikato region, the festival began as a short film showcase for filmmakers from the local region. In recent years, Misty Flicks has grown into a festival that celebrates filmmakers from all around Aotearoa.
