Rehearsal & Performance Series
A regular, hands-on programme of moderated workshops, each with a highly experienced New Zealand director, actor or actor/director.
This initiative is intended to provide both directors and actors with an opportunity to practise their craft, improve director-actor communication, forge new networks and take creative risks without consequence. Participants explore a provided scene in groups (one director, two actors) with expert assistance on hand in a safe and non-pressured environment.
Suitable for film school graduates (or equivalent) to mid-career directors.
Spots are limited to five directors and ten actors per workshop.
The Rehearsal & Performance series is hosted by the Directors and Editors Guild of Aotearoa New Zealand with the support of Equity New Zealand and funding from the NZ Film Commission.
